Elton John Thinks... But God's Word Says!!!

This is a recent quote from Elton John.

"I think Jesus was a compassionate, super-intelligent gay man who understood human problems."

This is a quote from the Word of God.

"Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful, but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen." Romans 1:21-25 (emphasis mine)

Previous Commenter,

Use only English please. I cannot read symbols.

Well, other than the word "gay" (which is blasphemous) I agree with Elton John, except he also fails to recognize the deity of Christ (I think he reveals he has no clue who Jesus really is, however)

Hey Byron,

Coming from a man(Elton) who thinks religion out to be banned outright, I don't think I'll agree to anything he says.

Oh, I did not know that. I like his music, but not his personal lifestyle or religious views (or political views)

Hey Byron,

Here is a link to the direct quote about his doing away with religion. It is located in the 5th paragraph.

Oh, I remember him saying all that now. Bovine Scatology. Thank you Elton John, stick to music (at least you can do that right)

I had forgotten that, because it was so ridiculous I guess, that I could not take it or him seriously.

Yeah, it is a pretty foolish statement. And he is entitled to his opinion. And I'm entitled to not listen to his music but to also discourage others from supporting his music as well.

Back to his statement though, the reason why he doesn't like religion is because it "condemns" his behavior. Rather than repent, he would that we would just go away. The only problem though is that it isn't us he has the beef with, it is God. And God isn't going anywhere.:)

Off to bed now. Need my rest.

Luke...from now on send me an email when you publish a new post! I missed two. As for this one, I am grateful for your rebuttal to Elton John's remark. May he find his way to your blog and see the truth before his final notes. selahV
