I should have posted this on Friday.  That is why it is called TGIF.

It's Open Line Friday(to the sound of applause).  Radio talk shows seem to encourage the TGIF sentiment most people look forward to every week.  People seem to get so giddy about Fridays.  It is usually seen as the last day of labor followed by 2 days of whatever one wants to do.
For what are you laboring?...followed eventually by for whom are you laboring?

PAUSE and think
Do you enjoy watching the labor of your hands produce?  I like watching my garden grow and so while it is hot and sweaty work sometimes, it is still enjoyable to see something I'm doing become what the intentions are and when you get to partake of the fruit of your labors, it makes it all the more worthwhile.
If you are not enjoying your labors, perhaps you've gotten your eyes off of the prize and you've forgotten why you are laboring.
If you are not enjoying your labors, perhaps you've replaced God's prize with a prize of your own.
If you are not enjoying your labors, perhaps you are laboring for the human way of life which brings no lasting joy.
For WHAT are you laboring and for WHOM are you laboring?  If you can get the WHAT and the WHOM in line with Biblical instruction, the Spirit will produce the joy that will undergird not just Fridays but every day of your week.

Mark 8:36  For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
