Colossians 1:17 

And he is before all things and by him all things consist.  KJV

He existed before anything else, and he holds all creation together.  NLT

He is before all things, and in Him all things hold together.  NAS
He existed before everything and holds everything together.  GWT

If you think your life is falling apart:

1.  Paul must have lied.

2.  You have overthrown Jesus.(impossible)

3.  You must be the exception to every rule. /sarcasm

4.  You are ignorant of this verse.(now you are not)

5.  You are walking by sight and not by faith.

Paul's word to the Colossians is predicated on this eternal truth: Jesus created everything and sustains what He created.  Nothing you face is too difficult for Him or too complex for Him.  You are His creation...HE will hold you together.  In fact, as a child of God, you are TWICE His creation.  You are a son of Adam--created, and you are born again in the Second Adam--new creation.  He really holds all things together FOR you.  Keep your eyes on Jesus and encourage yourself with and in His Word.  It is possible that the things YOU created are falling apart, but as a creation of Jesus, HE holds you together.
